The Myst Mirror is Palmer’s captivating interplay of light and reflection, where an ethereal cloud of reflective silver seems to float between sheets of glass and acrylic. Its unique composition creates a soft, diffused reflection while allowing light to pass through, subtly illuminating the wall behind. Crafted with precision, the mirror features a sheet of toughened low-iron glass—chosen for its clarity and absence of green tint—hand-mirrored using liquid palladium, a rare precious metal. This is seamlessly paired with a thick slab of clear acrylic, creating a striking visual depth. Custom-made clasp mounts frame the piece, allowing it to be elegantly floatmounted off the wall. Custom options are available for new commissions, including dimensions, the composition of the silvering, and finishes for the metal clasps, ensuring each Myst Mirror is perfectly tailored to its space.
