MIEKE GROOT
Mieke Groot lives and works in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, where she maintains a studio. Her work is primarily concerned with the exterior of an object. Groot applies enamel in layers and fires the work in stages, creating cracks and tears in the structure of her objects. Her work is represented in numerous public collections, including the National Glasmuseum in Leerdam, Netherlands, and The Corning Museum of Glass.
